Adding a new todo goes to bottom of list not top
When creating a todo list, you usually create them in sequence. But when I add a new todo it goes in front of all the other tasks. I have to drag it down to the bottom to put it in order.
in Doris ‘top’ means ‘top priority’. It saves a button

make is an option in user prefs.

@estrathmeyer - ok, well I can understand where you're coming from. if we make it a setting then those who want it can enable it, as per your first suggestion. please vote on it :-)

I too wish there were a way I could add items to the bottom of a list. I agree that normally "top of the list" is best, but when you're writing a sequential TO DO list, it's natural to type the first item first, the second item second, etc.
Possible solutions:
- add a user setting which makes new items appear at the bottom of lists instead of the top. leave the default the same for new uses.
- add a button/command to reverse the order of a list. -

We don't force anything on the user. Generally we find, as you say, users enter many tasks at once. They mostly enter them in the Today group, then drag them into the specific group they want.
We had tasks entering at the bottom as you suggest a few months ago but it became very difficult to see what you just entered when you already had a long list. In some cases the task would appear below the fold. We found this *really* didn't work out.

So if I want to enter a list of things to do I should think of the last thing I need to do first? Or do you expect that users will not want to enter more than one item?
By using 'top is top priority' that means the last thing I think of is the most important.
