publish estimated pricing
I'd seriously consider switching to Doris if I had a general idea of the pricing and plan metric(s) (users, task lists, features).
For example, if a 2-3 person team buys Basecamp but only uses it for tasks, that's $25/mo for a very basic task system -- not a good value. However, it would be a waste of effort to switch to Doris' beta if the pricing will be $20/mo.
Publicly-disclosed, reasonable pricing for smaller plans would also put a stake in the ground that you're serious about owning this market, encouraging folks to adopt the API (and discouraging prospective competitors).
I know market/demand pricing is hard to do. As a data point, $2-3/user/mo (unlimited task lists) or $1/task list/mo (unlimited users) at low quantity is the ballpark where it may be worth switching from another app. So $6-$9/mo for 2-5 users or for ~10 task lists, depending on the pricing metric.
I'd suggest users, because having unlimited task lists encourages use -- the last thing you want is to have users consider cost every time they create a new task list.
I could see this being disruptive if it were a la carte ($2/mo/ea for first ~10 users, $1/mo for next ~20, ~$0.50/mo for remainder). Makes for a pretty braindead simple subscription page, too.
