@teradome Thanks very much for your comments, I take your points on board. I must stress that Doris is by no means abandoned, in fact we're very busy at Seagull Systems and have released a number of other iPhone apps and updates, just on other products. We're also working on 2 major web apps which weeks away from completion.
Of course there are a lot of nice new features that could be added to Doris, but we find it fully meets our needs as is, and use the app heavily all day every day. Sharing would be a great feature to have on board, agreed, but before we can start working on the huge feature request list here at UserVoice we need to make the app profitable, it's not like we're a huge company with tons of devs lying around, wishing they had tasks to work on.
So I understand if you must move to another product in the short term because of your personal requirements, but please keep up to date with the Seagull Systems blog, or become a fan on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Seagull-Systems-Ltd/287213606693) where we'll announce updates when they happen.

NOTE: I was trying to start a "Post more regularly on the blog" on UserVoice, but it was not letting me create it for some unknown reason, so I decided to add to this since it was related...

I've been waiting on "invite user" for a long time and am jumping ship for now -- I prefer the simplicity of Doris on the whole, but I do think there need for *some* advanced features, especially ones that have been grayed out as "coming soon!" for a year... or thereabouts...
The last feature-related post on the blog is from July 2009 when the API was announced; I think it's fair to say that it's been underused during this period. For one, we've had the release of the iPad, and that's gone completely unmentioned.
Again, it's not about forcing development if you feel it is a stable and happy product, but showing that its still being looked after and thought about. There's a bit of an "absentee landlord" vibe if there isn't the occasional check-in (I would have to imagine it would slow down new signups if it doesn't look like it's being maintained).
Just some thoughts from someone would like to come back eventually.

i'm not crazy about starting a dialogue with an anonymous commenter, I'll leave this up for a few days but if you can't identify yourself I don't see the point.
